Meet the Team

Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelly joined us in 2011, and brought with her five years of experience in the dental field. As a dental hygienist, she cleans (removes plaque and tartar) and polishes teeth, takes X-rays, and delivers the fluoride treatment. A lot of her time with a patient is focused on education: She wants kids to be enthusiastic about caring for their smiles! Kelly’s favorite part of her day? The kids! Not only does she enjoy making their smiles clean and beautiful, she likes making kids smile.

When she’s not brightening smiles, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She loves baking yummy treats for her family, friends, and all of us here. (Yes, dental professionals have a sweet tooth; everything in moderation!)

Registered Dental Hygienist

Mary has been with us since 1990 and started working in the field in 1980. She loves helping children develop a passion for caring for their mouth and the health of their smiles! While cleaning and polishing teeth, delivering fluoride, taking X-rays, and assessing patients’ oral health, Mary teaches them how to keep their smile in great shape. Mary enjoys building relationships and getting to each patient and the family.

Mary is a classically trained oil painter. She specializes in portrait, landscape, and still-life genres. Her work has won many awards and is exhibited in public, corporate, and private collections in more than 30 states. Mary also teaches workshops throughout New England.

Certified Dental Assistant

Though Jen started working here in her junior year of high school, back in 1998, she started as a patient here in 1985! She loves working with patients, and helping them learn that going to the dentist can be a fun thing. She’s warm, kind, and gentle, and excels at making sure patients feel safe and relaxed. Jen helps Dr. Demetriou during procedures, to support him and the patient. She also takes X-rays, sets up and cleans the treatment area, and sometimes works at the front desk. Her favorite moments are when patients come through the doors filled with smiles and looking forward to their visit.

Away from work, Jen enjoys golfing, bowling, and spending time on Lake Ossipee with her friends and family. Jen shares her life with her two cats, Lucy and Maggie.

Licensed Dental Assistant

Rachel loves working with children and kids with special needs. She’s very attentive to each patient’s emotional needs and is skilled at making them feel safe and at home during visits. Rachel became part of the team in 2001. She prepares rooms, provides chairside assistance, and cleans and sterilizes after procedures. She also takes X-rays and does some clerical work. Seeing kids smiling and excited about taking care of their teeth makes Rachel happy.

Most of Rachel’s free time is spent with her family, especially her two nieces. They like going to the park, out to breakfast, and to the movies. Rachel loves animals and has a pug, Max, who’s her best buddy!

Licensed Dental Assistant

Kathy is great at helping new patients get settled in and feel safe during visits. She’s been with us since 1989 and started working in the field in 1986. She takes X-rays, polishes and flosses teeth, and gives fluoride. Kathy also provides chairside assistance: helping the doctor and patient. Always smiling, Kathy is our “Hostess with the Mostess” and loves spending her days around kids, to make sure each has a positive dental experience and leaves looking forward to coming back!

Kathy enjoys weekends at Seabrook Beach in the summer and vacationing in Florida in the winter. She likes going out to dinner, enjoys the movies, and spends lots of time with her little cousins, family, and friends.

Licensed Dental Assistant

Michele joined us in 1998 and immediately found her professional home. She’s friendly and welcoming, which immediately puts even the most timid child at ease. By the end of a visit, kids are smiling and laughing with her! Michele assists our dental hygienists with routine cleaning appointments, and takes X-rays, polishes teeth, and assists Dr. Steve as needed. She loves making sure every visit is a pleasant one!

Michele’s been married more than 15 years. She has an adult son, Damien, and a young son, Domenic. In her spare time, Michele volunteers at Domenic’s school and on field trips. She likes catching a movie with her husband, dining out, shopping, and taking trips to the Caribbean.

Office Manager

Carolyn keeps our practice running smoothly, so Dr. Demetriou and our team can focus on what’s important: our patients! Having started here in 1990 as a patient greeter, Carolyn stayed with the practice while attending college and worked her way up to office manager. She handles all the day-to-day operations and oversees our staff. For Carolyn, seeing a child who arrived nervous suddenly realize that this is a fun place and start laughing and smiling is the best part of her day. She also loves watching children grow and notes that she’s been here long enough that some of her first patients are now bringing in their children!

Carolyn and her husband Ken married in 2003. In 2008, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Isabella, who is their world. The family loves their time together, supporting Isabella’s activities, and going to the beach, amusement parks, and playgrounds. Occasionally they find time to relax!

Financial Coordinator

Jenn’s been with us since 1999. She started working at the front desk while still in high school. Then, once in college, she became our financial coordinator. Jenn communicates with insurance companies to determine benefits and helps parents understand and get the most from their coverage. She also prepares and reviews treatment plans and schedules visits. Jenn says she’s glad to have met so many great families and watched them grow. She really loves seeing kids transform from being anxious and nervous patients into confident and relaxed people who look forward to seeing the dentist!

Jenn and her husband Derek married in 2008. They welcomed daughters Shayleigh in 2012 and Aria in 2016. Life keeps the family busy, but they make time for outings to the park, walks along the river to feed the ducks, playing dolls, coloring, and having dance parties.

Reception Coordinator

You’ll meet Sandra at our front desk, and it’ll be her voice on the phone when you call. She’s been here since 1999 and loves watching the kids grow up with healthy, beautiful smiles. Sandra schedules visits, checks patients in, and is in charge of organizing daily charts. She also verifies insurance and collects information about benefits. Sandra is in charge of preparing the goodie bags for school presentations. Her favorite moments are seeing the smiles and hearing positive comments at the ends of visits, especially when the children don’t want to leave!

Sandra’s been happily married for more than 30 years. She has two children and a kitty, and loves to polka! She’s also very involved with helping the elderly and infirm in our community.
